What will happen at the event?
We will start with meet and greet and shopping. All of our guests are encouraged to bring clothing (and/or monetary) donations for the YWCA Women in Transition (WIT) Program. Volunteers will be on hand to assist all attendees. Additionally, we will be hosting a twitter chat during the event. Each attendee will be given a Twitter cheat sheat and be able to discuss the event on social media as well as interact with the leads of the YWCA WIT program.
There will be a short program featuring the event hosts and YWCA WIT leads.
Can I donate the day of the event? Where are the donations going?
Absolutely! All monetary and clothing donations will be greatly appreciated and will go to the YWCA Women in Transition Program. Attendees will be able to meet the YWCA WIT Program directors and interact with the event hosts. A percentage of sales received during the event will also go to support the WIT program. The WIT program serves as a safe haven providing quality transitional housing to homeless women and their children.
What type of clothing donations will be accepted?
